Could it be???

I have found that my online dating life is quite entertaining for those closest to me. It's a “hot” topic of conversation as I share the details of those I have began communicating with. First, there was the Ph.D student who fancied the phrases, "I only hang out with Americans" and "I'm the old, creepy guy at the bar," that turned out to be a bit much for me.  Dr. Grey and Dr. Yang would have loved my response...Seriously????  Then there was the half-marathoner who was dressed as Elvis.  Despite all of this, let's not forget the one that took me by surprise with his humor, perfect grammar (yes, I am finding that it does make a difference when you can use the correct form of "to, two, and too" in a sentence), and ability to put a smile on my face at the sign of “New Message.” I'll skip over the details of the not-so-wonderful for me matches and on to the much more interesting one...Carrick. Is it possible to have met someone and feel this way when you haven't even met? I must say that I find myself secretly hoping to hear from him sooner than later. His emails are hilarious and I'm not having trouble figuring out what to say. The conversation is easy and natural. No one has captured my interest quite like this one. I suppose we'll have to see what happens...I'm hopeful. :)

And so it begins...

Love is just a word until someone you meet gives it a proper meaning."

That's where I am...looking for someone to give it a proper meaning. To experience the butterflies in the stomach, the weak knees, and the race of my heart as our eyes meet. Not knowing where to begin in search of love or this feeling that so many long to discover, I stepped out of my house shoes and into my high heels. I became online dating's newest member. While the uncertainty of it all lingers, I find myself enjoying this new chapter of my life.
